This piece was created to look like an intricate stained glass work of art. It is created from a photograph that I took at the Hutchinson zoo on an outing with my grandchildren. I 'shattered' the basic elements of the piece and painted in each 'shard' with acrylic paint. I also used chalk and oil pastels on top of the paint. The grid lines were done with stabilo pencil, then reinforced with a black Posca Paint pen.
It includes the entire 11 x 14 inch 300lb. watercolor sheet that it is created on which I also used as a palette and could be included in the framing.
