The dangers of industrial, chemical-based agriculture (largest cluster of shapes) have become widely apparent over the last decade. Despite the U.N.’s assessment that sustainable farming is the way to feed the earth’s growing population, U.S. government agencies continue to support the biotechnology industry and its pesticide-promoting crops as the path forward. This painting highlights the slowly rising trend (smaller groupings) of some farmers turning toward organic and sustainable agriculture, shunning genetically engineered products and the chemicals they are designed to promote. Let’s support these forward-thinking growers to create a better, healthier world.
