bio
Kate DeOssie is a fine artist and interior design partner known for artwork that vibrates with a distinctive energy and lives across a broad stylistic range, transforming beautiful spaces to be more chic, dynamic, and inspired. She offers original works, bespoke commissions, and museum-grade giclée prints in open and limited editions.
Kate’s studio practice and trade relationships are rooted in a shared commitment to artistic excellence, professional integrity, and a client-first approach. Her practice is intentionally expansive, with a portfolio as nuanced and diverse as the modern collector. She moves fluidly between a minimalist aesthetic that offers compositional quietude, an irreverent edge that leans into subversive humor, and effusive, color-rich experiences that capture the essence of a moment.
Whether her work is the serene anchor for a carefully curated room or the ‘wink’ that makes a bold statement, Kate’s art is unified in its polish, soul, and technical mastery, earning its place as a vital element of design-forward spaces.
Kate’s depth of experience and formal training are complemented by her unparalleled professionalism and work ethic that keep your project on time and on budget - an orientation honed during her 15-year career in finance and strategy consulting. She received her B.A. at Brown University (Economics and Visual Art), and works full-time from her dedicated studio in NJ.

Statement
statement
I describe my work as fun + fine art for design: pieces grounded in the principles of design, technique, and quality that make art fine, while exuding a spirit of joyfulness and fun that makes collectors, and their walls, feel more alive - because spaces are designed for people, and fine quality should never preclude joyful living.
I don’t always reach for an intellectualized interpretation of my art, but my favorite pieces are often replete with harmonic dissonance (like life!) - dichotomies, contradictions, or juxtapositions that beg curiosity and a deeper investigation.
Ultimately, I love what I do most because I get to share this fun + fine love of mine in equal measure with you - the collector, the designer, the art director. I aspire to offer you both beauty and substance: something you've been searching for, a companion for your morning coffee, a warm welcome to your guests, or maybe the just-right punctuation for a precisely designed moment.
Whatever purpose art serves in your life, thank you for including me in your quest for gorgeousness.
process
My process begins and ends with the client - whether I am working with an individual collector on a custom commission, or sourcing the perfect combination of original pieces and prints for a larger-scale design project.
I work directly with each client to get a comprehensive understanding of the project scope, objectives, requirements and limitations, as well as the design aesthetic of the space and personal tastes of all relevant stakeholders.
My work style is flexible and responsive, from delivering on tightly-defined specs for a decisive designer, to owning all aspects of the advisory, production and installation process for clients seeking end-to-end service.
I can’t wait to hear about your project!
