Appearances
In this series artist focuses on how the materials interact with each other, changing the look of the surface. Creating this body of work was playful and exciting, finding various patterns emerging from the pigments. This collection also has some spiritual meaning, a metaphor for the gap between our true selves and how we appear to the world. These floating pigments on the outside are more visible than those hidden underneath gold leaves. We create various appearances of ourselves, often hiding the real thing. The magic starts to happen when all the masks are removed and the gap is closed. Transparency brings peace to our tired souls.
Planets
This series includes abstract visualizations of planets in our solar system, as well as the space beyond. The artist is attracted to illuminating colours of the planets, which create an almost dusty, veiled appearance.
Inspired by the unknown of the universe, touching on the fact that there's still so much more to be discovered, the artist is fascinated by meditation practices and brain and heart coherence - creating a rhythm and tuning into higher potentials, improving ourselves and influencing everything around.
