Tancho and Bronze Samurai Koi. Tancho koi has a single red dot on the head that refers to the rising sun on the Japanese flag and a symbol of good luck. Samurai are dedicated, disciplined soldiers and are associated with the fable of the koi who turned into a golden dragon. This painting was remastered in the sequence for the animated poem - Nishikigoi by KLM, the artist, aka #thegirlwiththekoitattoo.
