I live to create to and find answers. My work grows from the contrast of love and the connection of opposites. I explore these themes inspired by anatomy, nature, decay and rebirth.  Images of distorted hearts/organs/fruit/plants are metaphors for the living, tender body. I am intrigued by drawing, printmaking, sculpture and mosaics and have combined these passions together graphically in my later works.  My process has been a study, exploration, and experimentation that has evolved over the last 30 years. Creating art using these elements - gathering a multitude of materials and textures, satisfies my need to create a visual union to make things whole. My perspective as a woman, a single mother, as a daughter and of a lover informs my practice, my passion for social justice, and my life.
