David Lynx was born in Seattle and grew up on Mercer Island. He received his A.A. from Bellevue College, B.A. in theatre from the University of Washington, and completed a fifth year in Asian Art History and Language at Whitman College. He served as Gallery Assistant and Director of the Sheehan Gallery at Whitman College. After a few years of experience in the museum field, he completed his Masters of Liberal Studies in museology from the University of Oklahoma.
