This work was developed during my stay at the Monhegan Artist Residency program. This work explores the playfulness of the waves crashing on the shores of Lobster Cove. During my residency, I used masking methods with tape, and this work has those tiny pieces of painted tape incorporated to create lines and varied shapes. Experience up close as an abstract work and far away to see the depth of the rocks and waves.
