Justin Jude Carroll’s painting practice explores how lived experience accumulates into form through intuitive engagement with materials. Working primarily in acrylic paint, mixed media, and collage, he employs an intuitive process in which marks, layers, and interactions between media, substrate, and impulse generate emergent spatial and perceptual relationships. Educated at Carnegie Mellon University and Brown University, his first solo gallery show is forthcoming at Gateway Regional Arts Center in McKinley, KY, in 2026. He has shown in numerous gallery shows in the Pacific Northwest, and his work is collected in private and corporate collections including Bank of America, CVS and Vanguard. He is represented by ArtLifting, where his work is part of their program supporting artists with disabilities.
