Purchased at a jewellery shop in front of the hotel Indépendance in Ouagadougou. The owner used the sell handmade, small wire-bicycles to my father in the early 1980ies. The seller does not usually sell bronze artwork.
The dealer got the statuette from an old man. The bronze represents a sick, thoughtful man. The disease was brought to Burkina Faso by the Europeans.
