A night-time visit to a light installation at Descanso Gardens forever changed shadows for me. Rather than inky black, the misty weather created rainbow shadows. Besides being beautiful, they presented me with a new view on something I'd seen my whole life. Perhaps it's a new view for you too?

I created two prints on a 16x20 gelatin plate and collaged them together. I like to use Golden OPEN for gelatin prints because it enables me to work back into the print after pulling it. I often "erase" portions of the printed area and ease transition areas.
