When I was working on " Hilly Island" originally called "Summer", I wanted to give a sense of curved movement using rectangles and squares throughout the design and surface. I also wanted to create a 3-D effect through the choice of color shades. Various cotton batiks, glass beads, cotton and silk thread, were chosen in the process.

Art is illuminating, healing and necessary. Creating something unique, merging color with form, and revealing new aesthetics, is a passion of mine. Every time I am out in nature, I feel a sense of wonder, gratitude and connection. I hope to convey the message of upholding keeping of the land, through my artwork and process.
