  • Signature: "Birthing of Ideas" placed and was awarded a prize in Mixed Media at the Duxbury Art Association Winter juried Show, 2020. As I am in process of working on a new piece, I become concentrated deeply into the emergence of the work. This takes me to a new place full of possibilities. I find that starting within certain boundaries, also allows me to break out of them. Is it a painting? I am asked. In a way, it is. The fabric and thread become my paint. The flowing fabrics allow me me to choose 2d and /or 3D. Geometric and organic forms have held fascination for me ever since I can remember.  I love creating and working with simple configurations, and then expandAs I am in process of working on a new piece, I become concentrated deeply into the emergence of the work. It is also way I may directly communicate to the viewer. I invite you, as a unique observer of my art , to find your own journey into a new frame of mind. Specific colors are a huge factor in my art, and they need to bounce and play among each other. Some of my artistic influences have been Nancy Crow, Michael James, Judy Mathieson, Buckminster Fuller, and Hilma af Klint, and Antoni Gaudi, to name a few.
