“Good Morning, Cartecay!” I captured a moment in an early morning hike where the sun peeks over the trees and hits the water. We were enveloped in that quiet stillness that accompanies the waking of the forest and heard only the rustling of our steps and the sound of the rushing water. As we came to the river, the sun suddenly shone through the morning mist—it was like having the lights turned on!
I love the deep green of the water against the red GA clay of the riverbank and the purple shadows on the rocks.
