This improvisational painting was quick-sketched in response to music performed in rehearsal by Atlantic String Machine (ASM). It is one of a series of nine painted sketches that express the energy, emotion and movement sparked by 'Prokofiev's Dreams of a Minor Swing' composed by ASM violinist, Sean Kemp.

The sketches are part of a larger project that bridged disciplines across time and place during the Covid pandemic. Artist Julea Hope Boswell interpreted separate works of dance (in Ottawa) and music (in PEI) and combined them to create a rapport expressed through visual art.
