Living in North Carolina, especially during a very hot spell mid-to-late summer, can really make me long for the coolness of the northern states. I have been on lakes in Wisconsin, where the pine trees were plentiful. While this is not a painting of a particular place, I created a bait shop for the small boat fishermen to stop at. Not only does it remind me of cooler weather, but also of the unique taste of fresh-caught fish.
