I grew up near the beach and always feel very connected in this environment. During a beach walk, I snapped a photo of my great niece and with permission, recreated this painting. Using acrylic on canvas, it depicts a little girl interrupting her sand play with hopeful expectation of seeing dolphins, hand poised in anticipation as she gazes out over the waves. The magic & excitement of seeing dolphins captures our hearts & imagination no matter what age.
