Spanish fine art landscape photographer exploring landscapes shaped by light, atmosphere, and elemental forces.
MessageI am a Spanish fine art landscape photographer based in Madrid, working primarily across coasts, mountains, and remote territories. Having been raised on the northern coast of Spain, between the Cantabrian Sea and the foothills of the Cantabrian Mountains, coastal and mountain environments have remained central to my photographic practice.
My background in civil engineering continues to inform my sensitivity to structure, scale, and the relationship between built form and natural space. Over time, photography has become a way of exploring the dialogue between landscape, atmosphere, and human presence.
I work in both color and black and white, using natural light and restrained post-processing. My photographs are organized into carefully curated collections exploring recurring themes, places, and ways of seeing, and I personally produce my archival pigment prints on museum-grade papers to ensure that every print reflects my original vision.
Statement
I am drawn to landscapes shaped by elemental forces, shifting atmosphere, and changing light. My work explores how weather, distance, darkness, and scale alter the experience of place, moving between scenes of force, stillness, and gradual revelation.
Rather than documenting locations, I seek to examine how changing conditions transform the perception of landscape. Geological forms, weather, and traces of human presence become part of an evolving dialogue between natural processes and human intervention, revealing places as continually changing rather than fixed.
Working across coasts, mountains, and remote territories, I develop carefully curated photographic collections that investigate recurring visual and conceptual themes. Individual photographs are conceived not as isolated images but as part of broader sequences that expand the reading of each landscape.
Whether working in color or black and white, I rely on natural light, restrained post-processing, and a deliberate printing process. For me, the print is not simply a reproduction, but the completed physical form of the photograph.
