Ausencias - Coca Cola Colombia (2020) es una pieza que hace parte de la serie de Dibujos Nacionales. Esta propuesta desarrolla una aproximación a la Historia del Arte Colombiano y al trabajo del Artista Colombiano Antonio Caro, quien a través de décadas ha revisado la realidad política del país. La idea detrás de esta pieza es generar una imagen a partir de las perforaciones, señalando la perspectiva y el relativo lugar del punto de vista del observador.

En ese orden de ideas, el apropiarse de una obra icónica para sugerir una nueva manera de construirla, permite establecer una actualización para ese contexto particular, a partir del uso de materiales, texturas y luminosidades. Se propone una desaparición del signo, pero se sugiere una posibilidad de re lectura a partir de un nuevo marco referencial. De esta forma se realiza una operación donde el nombre de la pieza no ha cambiado, generando una cita, donde el símbolo refleja un vacío que el espectador observa, haciéndole consciente de esa Colombia presente.

Ausencias - Coca Cola Colombia (2020) is a piece that is part of the National Drawings Series. This project develops an approach to the History of Colombian Art by approaching Colombian's Artist Antonio Caro´s work, taking into account that through decades he has reviewed the political reality of the country. The idea behind this piece is to generate an image using the perforations and light, indicating the perspective and the relative place of the observer's point of view.

In this order of ideas, by appropriating an iconic piece of art to suggest a new way of constructing discourse allows us to establish an update for this particular context, using new materials, textures and luminosities. The disappearance of the sign is proposed by the artist, but a possibility of re-reading it is suggested by a new frame of reference. In this sense, a new operation is carried out where the name of the piece has not changed, generating a quote, where the symbol reflects a void space that the viewer observes, making him aware of that absent Colombia.
