This work continues the Palimpsest series through layered woodblock printing and repeated pattern. The lattice-like structure draws from a Moroccan-inspired motif originally observed at Shangri La, Doris Duke’s estate in Honolulu. Carved and printed over time, the pattern accumulates through repetition, wear, and partial erasure.

A central circular form acts as a point of focus and orientation, while the surrounding geometry suggests interconnection, balance, and continuity. Begun in 2015 and completed a decade later, the work reflects time not as a linear progression, but as something built through return, layering, and sustained attention.
