John Casey is a painter based on the North Shore of Massachusetts, where the region’s natural beauty deeply influences his work. Originally from New Hampshire, John began drawing and painting as a child, a passion that has endured throughout his life. After building a successful career in human resources, he returned to his creative roots to pursue art full time.

John is particularly inspired by painting en plein air, finding joy and spontaneity in working directly from life. His work often focuses on landscapes, seascapes, and everyday moments—quiet scenes that evoke a sense of place and presence. He has studied with internationally acclaimed artists and further honed his skills through studio classes at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Whether painting outdoors or in the studio, John aims to capture the emotional atmosphere of a scene with sensitivity and clarity.
