Statement

Jo’s work is primarily abstract expressionism - often combining rusted metal with oil painting, using wax, plaster, gold, silver and copper leaf, and natural verdigris to create sea, land, and colour scapes on textured surfaces.

These works are on wooden panels, paper, and plaster. Jo also prints with rusted objects directly onto paper, wax, fabric and paintings.

She works and exhibits from her studio/gallery Rogues Atelier in Fossgate, York - located in the centre of the city.
