Jill Malouf spent decades in the courtroom as a prosecutor, then civil litigator. Painting began as a personal outlet but quickly evolved into a meaningful calling.
She discovered that creating art not only brought her calm but could also offer the same feeling of escape to others. Her signature style features complex, layered textures, fluid organic shapes and nature-infused palettes that evoke tranquility and depth.
Early recognition, including being named a New Texas Talent (a prestigious statewide honor) and other accolades, affirmed her path, and she left the legal world behind to paint full-time.
Jill’s work can be found in private and corporate collections and galleries nationwide, and even a cameo in a Dell television commercial.
Statement
My abstract paintings are born from a life of sharp contrasts. First it was years in the courtroom as a prosecutor and then civil litigator, where every detail mattered. That structured intensity honed my focus, but it also illuminated a deeper pull—moving beyond argument and into feeling.
I left law for the studio after I could no longer ignore the strong calling I had been feeling. As a self-taught artist, I rely on my intuition to create pieces that are both grounded and transporting. My works layer balanced color with organic forms and texture, often echoing nature's rhythms and patterns.
As a full-time Dallas artist, I love creating approachable, powerful abstracts that draw people in, evoking calm and captivation while reflecting the real shifts that shape us all.
