The Margins series explores painting through textile collage, translating gesture and color into sewn form. Layered strips of canvas and fabric create spatial relationships and intervals, while loose threads reference the random drips found in my paintings. The sewn lines mirror the linear elements of my work, creating structure and movement across the surface. Rather than representing through paint, these pieces use materials as they are—their textures, colors, and edges—to construct miniature painted spaces.
