One of my favorite places to paint is in Pennsylvania Dutch Country where my husband’s family lives. Over the years I have made small plein air (on location) paintings while sitting in fields in the early morning light of summer. I love the large shapes of color and the way the tree lines slice the horizon in that landscape. This larger painting was inspired by one of those paintings made in a field.

This is an original oil and acrylic painting, signed on the front and hand labeled on the back by the artist. It is painted on cotton canvas stretched on wood stretcher bars. The canvas is gallery wrapped, meaning that the sides are smooth and painted white. It is 1.5 inch thick, wired in the back and ready to hang.
