Jessica Rios is a self-taught artist originally from San Diego, California. Now based in central New Jersey, she is a full-time nurse, mom of three, and proud wife of a fire chief. Whether painting in gouache, watercolor, or urban sketching, Jessica is drawn to capturing the spirit and feel of the places she encounters—be it a street in her neighborhood, a historic landmark, or a relished travel destination.

Jessica’s work is rooted in observation. She believes you don’t have to go far to find beauty—it’s often right in front of you, waiting to be noticed.
