Appealing to travelers: This work evokes a universal sense of humanity, capturing the spirit of people and cultures encountered on journeys. Keenly confronting the enigmas that surround us, this work shares suggestions of infinite patterns in humanity that often shape worldviews. I've taken inspiration from Dutch waxprints also known as African waxprints and their influence of non-verbal communication.
Collection: MyPOP (My Print on Poverty) investigates topics of popular culture and social mobility. Substrate is birch plywood coated with a malleable texture of wax. The use of distressed collage is integrated for the purpose of storytelling, cross cultural symbolism. Artwork is not framed or does not include hanging hardware on back.
