A mothers role comes with duty, sacrifice, humility and honor. She shapes and tends to the next generation of doer's through fleshy years of discipline, rules and often much hardship. As her child transitions to adulthood, her role is often called into question.
The Empty Nest Syndrome, popularized in the 1970's, is a phenomenon in which parents experience feelings of grief, sadness and crisis of identity when their child leaves home.
