January 6 2021, the day white hoods were swapped for red caps. A mob of pro-Trump militants and white supremacists burst through a flimsy outer barrier on the north-west side of the Capitol building. This was the third major rally in recent weeks to support President Trump's fictional claim that the presidential election was rigged.
