This complex-surfaced piece was created during a 3-week time of prayer and fasting in late January early February at Bless the City church in Bellingham, WA. The theme of the piece is what happens when we commit our lives to living as dedicated Christ followers. Sadly, what is labeled "Christian" is often merely religious. As we follow Christ intently, our lives can radiate the same kind of love Christ exhibited when He walked among us. The piece began with an application of collage, symbolizing how we are wonderfully created. Successive layers represented the mercy of God, the sufficiency of the cross of Christ, and those saints who came before us, flaming their love of Christ. The final layer expresses how our lives can light our sphere of influence by a following Christ closely.
