Jennifer lives with her husband in Eastern Washington. Originally an owner of a Floral shop and interior designer in her early years, she has learned to meld her two passions into creating colorful works of art.
Statement
My love for creating beautiful aesthetics has always been my muse. It's no surprise that I dabbled in both Floral design and Interior Design throughout my adult life. It seems fitting that these two passions of mine has melded into creating art. This is why most of my subjects are specifically flowers & interiors.
With the freedom i found that comes with painting loose and bordering on abstract, painting releases my energy, it flows all over the canvas. Throughout these last few years, i've learned my surfaces I paint on truly have a mind of it's own. With my interior design i've done in my younger years, I chose the colors ahead of time, creating a mood board knowing exactly what I wanted the room to say. Following the same routine today with my art, i find that the perfect palette of colors reveals itself to me later on while i'm painting. This is why I do not limit myself to one medium, style or concept. For now, i'm listening to my inner self and learning the art of expression through my paintings.
My hope, is that by continuing to express myself through art, it will show others to be bold, be brave and your truly not as alone as you think.
