For "Tree of Life", I used hard Masonite board underneath with a wooden cradled edge. I used molding paste to create the texture underneath. This is part of a whole series I'm doing with molding paste texture, exploring different abstract patterns and natural forms.

This a 12" wide by 12" tall oil painting on wood-cradled Masonite board. It comes with a coated wire on the back, ready to hang.
