The frogs all seem to be ‘playing’ with each other; thus the ‘Quartet’ in the title. These are a combination of tree and poison dart frogs. I was attracted to their naturally vibrant coloring. Though the color makes these seem happy and bright, there is an undercurrent of danger in this piece, as all wild dart frogs have some level of poison in them.
