Statement
I have always known that my destiny was that of creativity. I am inspired by velvety rich colors, the blue and green spaces of nature, and extraordinary designs that include florals, birds, and fruit on luxury wallpaper and glamorous fabrics. As such, my subject matter is nature, whether tiny creatures, flowers, an ocean view, or nature in a still life scene. I paint nature because it illustrates gentleness and strength, an appetite for life, perseverance, and most of all, because it nourishes my heart. Nature reminds me that life always has challenges, which require perseverance, that growth requires change, and that all beings must be nurtured to live wholly.
I use professional watercolor paints and 100% pure cotton paper to capture and hold the beauty, movement, and life of nature. My art is meant to bring physical and emotional comfort, positively influence the viewer’s mood, provide balm for the soul, and is my way of inducing awe.
