Anita is a gregarious and ever generous woman, with whom I began to get to know by waving to her in her kitchen from our living room window. She lives in a building across the way with both our windows being great vantage points from which we can observe the daily routines of our bairro within the city. We finally introduced ourselves at our local tasca and since then we've swapped stories over delicious meals and some strong drinks.

She often travels to the coast, taking beautiful photos of wildlife and befriending the local fisherman. This painting is one of many delicious gifts brought to us straight from a fisherman’s boat in the Algarve.
