My ties with Hong Kong, USA and the UK and their current controversial political situations have challenged my closest relationships and propelled an introspective examination of my personal identity. As a result, my current work is concerned with questions arising from my unusual position: are the conventional concepts of identity and home relevant to me? How do I fit within the current dialogues in multiculturalism and current affairs? Is there an uncoupling from our current ideas or assumptions about identity and nationality?
