Overcoming grief is a process. Living with loss is like a monotonous cycle. The pain remains ever-present, and the loved ones unexpectedly gone from your life remain just out of reach, in your thoughts, while not present. It can be a bit like existing in a fractured state of oneself. Grappling with emotions while trying to move through the motions of life, putting one foot in front of the other to continue on can feel like moving through a haze. Life feels distorted, like viewing events in the rain. There is beauty, yet so much pain. Sometimes letting go is best. It allows light in. Regrowth. Evolution. In time we all have to let go. We all have to work on ourselves.
