I often create work utilizing up cycled and found items. These pieces are made using remnant paints. The paint has been saved from the tertiary blends created from tones saved while painting larger works. Rather than disposing of the paint, I save the remnants to use for smaller pieces. For this reason, these works are limited in number, and cannot be recreated. Additionally, the texture is created with the use of several materials, including otherwise disposable plastics, scraping with cardboard, and hand-stamping finger painting, and removal of and layering of tone with cloth to strain excess paint and repaint with it to mute and layer tones. Each piece is completely different based on the items utilize for its creation.
