Here My Summer Paused – 16 x 20 UART 400 Grit 8 Ply Board
Here my summer paused, by blue green waters and gentle breeze. As seaweed tendrils slowly sway to a soft melody beneath the tide’s ebb and flow. Sunlight plays upon the clammers skiff slowly rocking, the sound of wood shifting upon the soft sea. Transfixed by such summer days that seem as if they could go on forever, where time almost stands still, you find yourself at peace with all that surrounds you. It was a day like this, when this scene stopped me, beguiled me and begged me to stay. How could I refuse. How could anyone refuse. To be lost and gleefully toss aside the map that might serve to return me from this place. I know other places that have their merits, that have mesmerized me, and beckon my return after a visit, but no matter how far I wander, by foot, soul or mind, nothing comes up to home like here in New England.
