I would like to introduce and re-introduce Janet Herman. For the past 10 years she was participating in outdoor art festivals in Florida selling her fiber mixed media, fabric painted and stitched artwork. Enter human factors of aging and less mobility. She is limiting her outdoor shows, allowing more time to expand into the realm of oil painting.
This expansion has been in the works for a couple years as I make this lateral change from textile to oils. Painting with oils is challenging, but workable. Check out the Oil Painting Collection. It is a brief encounter before introducing my Chalk Creek collection in 2025. My focus has not changed from nature and wildlife.
And, while the oil paint dries, a new textile piece is a work in process.
