Winter Woods Tangle

A watercolor painting created outside in the open air, at a Chicago Forest Preserve location in the Northern suburbs. It was quite cold with the brilliant blue winter sky. It was a challenge to create the tumbled heap of fallen branches stripped of their leaves and bleached from the winter sun. It is an original painting, framed and signed by Jane M. Mason.
