Celtic Fiddle Study No. 6

Celtic Fiddle Study No. 6: a straightforward view of the top of my old fiddle, as we musicians might observe it upon opening up it's case. The symmetry and grace of these amazing creations, and the music they are capable of producing in the hands of a skilled musician are to me something akin to ethereal. The red Celtic knotwork on black in the background represents the almost bloodlike basic support that a culture provides to a people....in this case the Celtic nations.
