Special commission in celebration of Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art’s 10th Anniversary.

The sculptural form is based off the Big Bang, the universe and our reality at its beginning and smallest size. Then etched onto each rod is a scaled timeline of the universe, the expanse of 13.7 billion years. Looking at the end of a rod you can see the point humans came into existence. The sculpture takes the largest moment of time and compresses it onto the smallest moment of time. Additionally, each rod represents its own universe as it expands out from the center, suggesting a multiverse. This encourages the viewer to think of the different possibilities and different outcomes in each universe. The work is titled “ALL EVERYTHING”, for all universes and all possibilities.
