The old British colloquialism, gone pear-shaped, generally means that something's gone awry or is going wrong. But for a pear, being pear-shaped is the perfect shape, the shape it's meant to become! I've got a well-loaded pear tree in the backyard, and I love drawing, painting and eating those pear-shaped fruits as they become ripe. These paintings are just a reminder to allow ourselves to become who and what we're meant to become.
