Article: ARTIST INTERVIEW SERIES: Iris Mes-Low and the Idealist Landscape
Statement
Her art depicts images of her subconscious, creating surrealistic abstractions of landscapes. Mes-Low’s approach is of tightening forms and accentuating the intensity of the environment. Her trees take on human-like characteristics as they congregate against dawning skies and urban hubs of suburbia. Iris’ work is about that moment when you are singular in a landscape and experience quiet serenity of it.
