"Start. Vostochniy Cosmodrom" #180

Several months ago, I was invited to take part in exhibition “The World of Watercolor -2021” which set up as a part of the X1 International Festival “Russian-Chinese Fare of Culture and Art”. ⠀ I painted two paintings special for this exhibition. I decided that will be interesting to paint subjects that are important for both countries. ⠀ I selected Spacecraft Launch as the subject to paint. ⠀ Do you know that Russia has now her own Spacecraft Launch Site? It is located only 3 hours by drive from Blagoveshchensk, main city in Amur Region, Far East, Russia. The name of this place is Vostochny Cosmodrom (Eastern Spaceport, Russia). The new cosmodrome will enable Russia to launch most missions from its own land, and reduce the dependency of Russia on the Baikonur which is leased from the government of Kazakhstan Cosmodrom
