- Athena Tacha
Referring to her series of shields (the title of this one refers to Medusa, the mythic Gorgon whose eyes petrified whoever looked into them), Tacha stated that "they talk about the futility of protection -- about nature’s ‘wastefulness’ in generating prolifically both life and death." Gift of IRC resident and artist Athena Tacha. For further discussion, see Richard Spear, "Art in the Dining Room," revised September 2022, by clicking on the second image.
