Foam (Ionian Sea)
- Twelve chromogenic digital prints on metallic photo paper mounted with UV protective film
- 27 x 56 in
- Athena Tacha
Photography for this work was aboard ship in the Ionian Sea, Greece. Tacha wrote in her "Journal" that she wanted to "investigate the relation of the rhythm of the motion of wind (or water) forming waves on the surface of water, snow or sand. ... Water surfaces, such as lakes, the sea or even a pond, give me that same feeling of peaceful pleasure. Is it because most of life depends on water? Is water some kind of living power?” Gift of IRC resident and artist Athena Tacha.
