This altar connects three generations of artist women. It was made in Hawaii, Arizona, and Washington over several decades and includes work by my grandmother, mother, and myself. It is a reflection of our relationship with our kupuna; the altar is constantly growing as the years pass, items are added, and stories unfold.

Materials used include woven coconut, lauhala leaves and fruit, acrylic yarn, cotton cording, dichroic glass, wooden beads, ironwood, dried gardenias, wire and leather. Dimensions: 38” x 21” x 3.5”
