Statement
I’m an Afro-Caribbean visual artist raised in New York City, working primarily in mixed media and analog collage to explore, reimagine, and celebrate Black experiences, especially the lives and stories of Black women. My work centers on history, legacy, memory, and spirituality, weaving together fragments of each to create new visual narratives of resilience, beauty, and transformation.
Through layering, textures, and archival materials, I create images where ancestral memory meets contemporary imagination. Each collage becomes both an act of remembrance and a vision for the future honoring those who came before while envisioning new possibilities for Black life and expression.
I’m passionate about connecting with art journalists and critics, curators, collectors, Black artist communities, museum professionals, cultural institutions, collage-focused organizations, and fellow artists and advocates who are dedicated to uplifting and expanding the African Diaspora narratives.
